10/27/2007. Curlin wins the Breeders' Cup Classic over Hard Spun to clinch horse of the year honors.
10/27/2007. English Channel wins the Breeders' Cup Turf in his third try. He had finished fifth in 2005 and third in 2006 in this race.
10/14/2007. Slew o' Gold, the 1983 three year old champion and 1984 Champion Handicap Horse, was euthanized at his home in Three Chimneys Farm in Kentucky. Slew o' Gold was 27 years old.
10/8/2007. John Henry, the 1981 and 1984 Horse of the Year, was euthanized in his paddock at the Kentucky Horse Park. John Henry was 32 years old.
7/29/2007. Street Sense wins the Jim Dandy stakes in his first race since placing in the Preakness Stakes. Next up will be the Travers Stakes at Saratoga on August 25th.
6/9/2007. Rags To Riches defeats Curlin by a head in the 139th Belmont Stakes, becoming only the third filly to win the race and the first since Tanya in 1905. Rags To Riches stumbled out of the gate and raced on the outside throughout while Curlin had an inside trip. The two hooked up at the top of the stretch, leaving the rest of the field behind and battled head and head to the wire. Tiago rallied to finish third.
5/19/2007. Curlin beats Street Sense by a head in the 132nd Preakness Stakes, denying Street Sense a chance to try for the Triple Crown in three weeks in the Belmont Stakes. Street Sense made his usual strong rally up the inside nearing the far turn to pass Curlin and Hard Spun to take a seemingly commanding lead with an eighth of a mile to go. But Curlin was able to regain his best stride to slowly narrow the gap and then put his nose down just ahead of Street Sense as the pair hit the wire together. Hard Spun held on to be third.
5/16/2007. Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense drew post position 8 in a field of 9 for the 132nd Preakness Stakes to be run on Saturday 5/19. Challengers Hard Spun drew post position 7, Curlin drew post position 4, and Circular Quay drew post position 3. Andy Beyer picks Hard Spun to turn the tables on Street Sense.
5/5/2007. Street Sense wins the 133rd Kentucky Derby, becoming the first ever Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner and the first Two Year Old Champion since Spectacular Bid in 1979 to capture the Run for the Roses on the first Saturday in May. 5/4/2007. Street Sense in post position 7 is the early 9-2 favorite for the 133rd Kentucky Derby to be run on Saturday 5/5. Other contenders include Great Hunter in post position 20, Nobiz Like Shobiz in post position 12, Scat Daddy in post position 14, and Circular Quay in post position 16. 11/4/2006. Invasor wins the Breeders' Cup Classic, defeating Bernardini by a length, to become the favorite to become the Horse of the Year of 2006.

5/20/2006. Barbaro injured his right hind leg shortly after the start of the Preakness. In the race, Bernardini sat off the early pace set by Like Now and Sweetnorthernsaint, then moved around the far turn to take command shortly after entering the top of the stretch. Bernardini won by open lengths, followed by Sweetnorthernsaint and Hemingway's Key.
5/17/2006. Post positions have been drawn for the 131st Preakness Stakes to be run on Saturday 5/20. Heavy favorite Barbaro will start from post position 6, with Brother Derek immediately to his inside in post position 5 and Sweetnorthernsaint on his outside in post position 7.
5/10/2006. Google announced several new products today: Google Trends, Google Desktop 4, Google Co-op, and Google Notebook.
5/6/2006. Barbaro romps in the Kentucky Derby. The undefeated Barbaro sat slightly off the fast early pace set by Keyed Entry and Sinister Minister, then moved quickly around the far turn to seize the lead and draw off to win easily by over 6 lengths. Bluegrass Cat and Steppenwolfer completed the order of finish.
